To her role as a trustee of Minto Apartment REIT, Jacqueline brings over 20 years of experience leading human resources, legal strategy and corporate development with one of Canada's largest companies (CIBC), as well as over two decades serving on various boards. She serves as the Chair of the Compensation, Governance and Nominating Committee.
Jacqueline joined CIBC in 1999 and held increasingly senior roles within the company as Senior Vice President and General Counsel (Canada), Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Executive Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development. She was also a member of the bank's Operating Committee.
Prior to CIBC, she worked at Swiss Bank Corporation in London (UK) and was an associate and partner at Blake, Cassels and Graydon.
Jacqueline received an Honours Bachelor of Economics & Political Science from Queen's University and her LLB Law from Western University. She has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and her ICD at Rotman School of Business. Jacqueline has several awards to her name, including Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award, and her spare time is dedicated to not-for-profit organizations and entrepreneurial endeavours including her successful online business giftgowns.com.
